We got rid of sick leave! Instead of 4 weeks annual leave and 2 weeks sick leave, we combined them. Our employees have 6 weeks of leave, to do with as they wish. No doctor’s certificates required, and the combined leave vests (we pay it out if the employee leaves). Need a day off? Just take one, no questions asked. Sick days, mental health days, caring days, holidays – all covered in the 6 weeks.
There are plenty of companies saying that mental health is important to them but actions speak louder than words. We care about our employees' mental health and this is one way we are showing it.
